Celebrate Those You Love

CELEBRATION of H I D D E N

I am always so very grateful for those who support me along my journey but THIS REALLY had me choked up.

I am typically not one to cry easily but in today’s climate, having endured an extremely challenging year, I find myself consistently in a stance of gratitude which in turn, can ignite a sudden release of tears and emotion at any given moment.

Additionally, when you are usually the Helper, The Encourager, The Motivator, you tend to shy away from being the one being celebrated because it’s so much more natural to give than to receive.

Total transparency with you and myself, Through this celebration, I realized that I stopped expecting unexplainable acts of kindness somewhere along my journey.

But on Saturday, October 17th, two thousand and twenty, that changed for me in a way that I never seen coming. I was surprised by my sisters, my friends, my Sorors, my family, both near and far, with a celebration of my book launch in the midst of a pandemic.

You can’t have SISTERHOOD without the RHO.

Love my Sorors and appreciate their love and support!

Initially I wondered how they pulled this off, why they would go such extremes for me but then I resolved to THIS FEELS GOOD!

I must admit, it felt pretty amazing to be on the other side for a change.

This day changed things for me in relation to my wellness journey. It helped me to learn AGAIN the value of being celebrated, being supported, being encouraged beyond your usual support circle.

It Is IMPORTANT that we ALLOW OURSELVES to be CELEBRATED, & HONORED!

Thanks again to all who shared in this amazing celebration in one way or another.

Special thanks to my boo, Tahesha; thank you loving me the way you do. You are one of my biggest supporters; you are My friend, My sister, My Soror, my Peda, My NETTY(me and you us neva part lol)...Love you a bunch😘
