MOTIVATION MONDAY
I missed a few events/appearances this past weekend, which was really hard for me. However? The truth is, my body was screaming loudly, REST!!!
I’ve been pushing HARD for the last few weeks, months, maybe even year and it’s catching up to me. Here’s a reminder to me and to someone else who may need it.
Burnout doesn’t always announce itself loudly. Sometimes it shows up as irritability, exhaustion, brain fog, lack of motivation, other physical symptoms (headaches/migraines for me), emotional numbness, trouble sleeping, or feeling overwhelmed by things you normally manage with ease.
Your body often speaks before your mind fully understands what’s happening.
LISTEN!!!!
Rest is not weakness. Slowing down is not failure. Taking care of your mental health is necessary maintenance, not a luxury.
When your body asks for pause, honor it before it demands a shutdown.
Protect your peace, set boundaries, ask for help, and give yourself permission to recover.
Becoming better also means knowing when to stop, reset, and heal.
